Unlikely: If you have shingles more than 3 times in a year, you probably don't have shingles, since that kind of recurrence is extremely uncommon. Far more likely is that you have cutaneous herpes simplex that keeps recurring in the same place. A culture or pcr of the lesion can confirm the diagnosis.
