What cause bulging hand veins?

loss of fat: Subcutaneous fat naturally atrophies over time. Think of the difference between the cheeks of a baby and a 90 year old man. These make veins which are normally occurring in the hand more visible. These can be removed, for cosmetic reasons, by a vein specialist or phlebologist.

usually normal: Often seen in fit, thin patients. Leave them alone if you can!

Swollen hand veins.: Hand veins can swell for many reasons but the most common is certainly hereditary . Other factors would be level of hydration, aging, sun exposure and loss of elasticity. I doubt at age 32 that aging is a factor for you. Actually, I am amazed at the amount of women that i see with bulging hand veins. They can be easily treated with laser or sclerotherapy and usually a combination of both.

Hand veins: Varicose veins of the hand are rare. One possible reason for the bulging may be due to decreased skin turgor in the area causing the veins to become more noticeable. There are people that may have an underlying thoracic outlet issue, with possible impingement of the vein underneath the clavicle. This should be evaluated to determine if that is the cause or not.
