Yes: Atrazine is a widely used herbicide (esp. With corn fields & grass on golf courses) with history of widespread contamination in drinking water and association with menstrual problems, birth defects & more vulnerable to cancer in later life. It is banned in europe. Environmental protection agency feels the current levels & spikes are safe. Scientists/health advocates disagree.

Herbacide: Atrazine is an herbacide, used to kill weeds in farming. It breaks down very slowly so can get into the water supply, especially around farms and in the spring when there is a lot of run-off of water. It has been associated with low birth weight and birth defects of the heart, urinary tract and limbs in babies. You can have your water tested for it, and some water filters will removed atrazine.
