Self-rewarding: Masturbation is not bad, but yoiu can get over-involved in it and that can both feel uncomfortable emotionally and socially. Probably the physical part is the least significant difference, but you do seem to be reaping the benefits of following and exercising your own sense of control. Someday you can resume in moderation if you want to. It is not bad as a part of one's life. Be well!
