A member asked:

Do i need family doc. for check ups? only have specialists. what happens during a check-up?will they re-do a pelvic exam if i had one w/ gyno in feb?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Family doctor: Yes you do need a family physician to correlate all the data relating to your health. You may see fewer specialists with fewer unnecessary tests done. I doubt your physician (family) would find it necessary to redo recent exams unless there was a concern.
