Due for an exam: In about a month because of taking plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine). You could have dry eye syndrome from evaporative causes or from sicca syndrome/sjogrens. It could also be due to allergies. It won't hurt to use warm compresses and dietary omega 3. But you will get an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan if you are examined by your ophthalmologist.

Eyelid swelling: May be allergies. Is there a palpable bump/ lump in the eye lid - a chalazion , which. Can be treated initially with warm compresses 10 minutes 4-6 times a day. If worsens daily see an ophthalmologist.

swollen: Although this could be a chalazion, this could also be an allergic reaction of some sort, or less commonly, preseptal cellulitis of the eyelid--- it is a good idea to see your local eye doc soon...
