Endo: Bcp only helps alleviate menstrual pain. Does not stop or decreases the amount of endometriosis present.

Hormonal treatment: Progesterone in the oral contraceptives will antagonize the effects of estrogen and stunt the growth of endometriosis. Progesterone may modulate the pain response as well.
