Not as an infection: Trichomonas vaginalis causes an infection with discharge and symptoms when it is present in the female vagina or male penis. It can survive in the mouth and anus so they can act as a reservoir, but it doesn't cause an infection at those sites. It can also survive on moist surfaces outside the body for several hours.

Trichomonas infect: Yes-the entire genitourinary system can be infected with trichomonas-namely, the urethra, the bladder, the skene's gland of urethra. These areas act as reservoir for reinfection after treatment.
