Discuss with MD: Typically over the counter Ibuprofen or midol are generally used, if persist or severe, hormone replacement or birth control may be an option, healthy diet and exercise have shown to be of some value for cramping control. Discuss with your doctor there maybe options for you. Muscle relaxants are not usually prescribed unless other options are exhausted.
