How to tell if i'm having jock itch or chafing?

Appearance: Tinea cruris / jock itch has a fairly sharp border. Chafing is multiple small lesions. Jock itch is easily managed with topical tolnaftate and prevented by good hygiene, including staying dry and not re-using towels.
