A member asked:

Will my pregnancy testing come positive 7 days after unprotected sex, or is that too early?

Too early: The pregnancy test should be positive around the time of a missed menses, 2 weeks after intercourse.

Early: The test relies on chemicals created by the new fetus after it implants in the uterus. To do so takes time. Since this chemical marker takes time to build up, it is often after you miss an expected menses before such tests turn positive.
