Why daytime naps?: It is highly unlikely that someone your age would develop alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. Some people have moments of disorientation when they wake up. At your age if the reason that you are taking naps is because of daytime tiredness you might check that out with your doctor.

Common: Many times people wake from a nap with minor temporary confusion. Not related to alzheimer's or dementia. Try to get 7-9 hours of restful sleep without drugs or alcohol. In general naps not helpful to overall health.
