Presbyopia: Trouble with reading up close usually starts in one's fourth decade of life. Reading magnifiers or bifocal glasses will help. Some patients suffer from dry eyes while staring long periods of time at tv, computer or smart phone. Artificial tears to supplement natural wetting can often be benificial as well. Seek eye examination for ocular alignment, glasses testing and external exam by eye doc.
