Brain Functioning: Researchers do not know for certain, although some propose that parts of the brain are underdeveloped which allows other parts to function exceptionally well. For example, because the verbal parts are underdeveloped, the memory areas are able to function far better than normal. You should also look up the term "synesthesia, " which may allow for the exceptional skills of some people with autism
