Abnormal cells: The cervical cells do not just become a cancer. The cells first become a little abnormal (lgsil) then can progress to a more significant level - i.e. High grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. 85% of lgsil does not result in a cervical cancer - about 50% will progress to a cancer.
