As to nerve sheath tumors in thecal sac at l-4, in your experience do they typically grow or do they usually remain stable in size?

Different speed: All tumors will grow, benign rumors grow very slowly and malignant tutors grow much quicker. Nerve sheath rumors are usually benign. Best to discuss this with your doctor.

Usually slow: Nerve sheath tumors (schwannomas, neurofibromas) are typically benign, slow growing tumors. Some nerve sheath tumors, however, can be malignant (rare). They can be associated with some genetic disorders, such as neurofibromatosis.
