Yes it is rare: It is rare, but possible to have both kidney stone among patient who have genetic predisposed for kidney stone.Most patients report to doctor office or er with severe pain and mostly patients dont stay in thier house have severe back and flank pain, so most cases kidney function preserved with immediate removal done at hospital level.
