Scarred lung?: If you are referring to your lung function, this usually means that there is significant damages to the lung tissue like scarring (fibrosis) which causes impairment to get oxygen into your blood and remove carbon dioxide from your lung.

DLCO decrease: The test will indicate the corresponding measurement. If it is the DLCO, then there are many causes of a decreased DLCO. Among these are emphysema, fibrosis, sarcoidosis involving the lung, anemia, pulmonary emboli. Your physician will be able to diagnose the underlying problem which is causing impairment in transfer of oxygen to the bloodstream.
