CONCUSSION HEALTH: Recovery includes close monitoring of physical symptoms as well as neurocognitive performance. Optimizing recovery requires "brain rest", which is a combination of cognitive rest (limiting activities that require "brain energy" such as full-time school attendance, work attendance, texting, video games, etc.); as well as rest from both noncontact and contact physical activity.
