Alcohol and CAD: No, you cannot. If you need to unwind, then you are anxious or withdrawing from your alcohol the night before. Alcohol contributes to heart disease. Do not fool yourself. First you need supervised detox, probably a sleep study, and definitely follow-up with your cardiologist. Please don't fool yourself. Your conditions are serious and you must get help. You deserve it. God's speed.
