No: Your floaters are inside your eyes' vitreous cavity and occur as a result of aging of the eye. Normally these gradually develop, but occasionally they can increase suddenly, usually associated with light flashes & a noticeable change in the quality of your vision. If this occurs, a dilated eye examination is important to rule out other problems causing the floaters, such as a tear in the retina.
