A member asked:

Will having a bmi of 18 cause missed periods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can: Bmi(body mass index) is an excellent parameter to deteremine obesity or in this case too low. The low body fat percentage at bmi 18 can cause a decrease in estrogen production and consequently "no periods"(amenorrhea).
