Kinda sorta: The reason why double vision happens is because the two eyes are misaligned. By trying to overcome that misalignment, sometimes there is an overcompensation. But it all comes back to the fact there is misalignment to begin with.

Probably the reverse: Being cross eyed can cause double vision. Get this check out in person with an eye md if possible.
