What can cause a knee cap to swell and bruise and also to have sonething hard that moves on my knee cap please help?

Needs eval: Bruise is usually from bleeding, which can also have swelling. Unusual place to bruise without some trauma? Knee cap is a bone and hard and moves? Can be fractured with enough trauma. Ortho is the discipline most likely to diagnose.
