Caffeine: People having been taking caffeine since civilization was up and running, and in general, if taken in moderation, is relatively safe. It works quickly. Every drug has multiple effects, and if those effects are undesired, they are considered side effects. Caffeine can do that too, and for some, is not a good solution. Exercise and sleep, while mundane, work.
