Listen to your body: Seeds can have a coating that may not be so favorable. Soak and rinse seeds before consuming. It is very helpful to blend soaked and rinsed flax seeds with fresh vegetables. Flax seeds are high in omega 3 fatty acids which are more anti-inflammatory. These high lignan seeds bind cadmium and other heavy metals present in the GI tract. Sunflower seeds have more omega 6 fatty acids.
