Signs of Pregnancy: Signs of pregnancy are not the gold standard to tell a female that she is pregnant. There are all kinds of 'signs' that are not in any way diagnostic of pregnancy. One should do home pregnancy testing if the expected period is delayed or missed. And, not sooner than that.

Classic pregnancy: Symptoms don't begin until after a period is missed. To know if you are pregnant, you can take an early pregnancy test up to 6 days prior to anticipated period or take a home pregnancy test if your period is late.
