Uncertain: In any individual the prognosis is variable. There are so many different reasons for cardiomyopathy - familial, ischemic, viral, hypertensive, hypertrophic, stress induced, and secondary to valvular heart disease that prognosticating in any individual is impossible. This is best done with the treating cardiologist who knows the particulars of the individual.
