Age and state: Chip is for children upto age 19.Each state has its own program, so you will have to check with your state regarding eligibility (call 18775437669).Medicaid, administered by the states, doesn't cover adults under age 65 without dependent children. Some adults qualify if there's special medical needs. The affordable care act, if enacted, will expand coverage to low income adults without dependents.
