Sinus problems when quitting smoking, what should i do?

It's recovery!: When you say sinus problems, i would assume that you mean congestion and stuffiness? Funny thing about quitting smoking - the cells in your body start working like they're supposed to. Tissues in the nose, throat and windpipe (upper part of lungs) start moving again and making fluids. It's a good thing. Stay with it - off tobacco, use non-prescription meds - antihistamines or 'neti pot' rinses.

Congrats on quitting: and STAY QUIT. Our respiratory system, including the sinuses, have protective cells that allow us to get rid of various things we are breathing in - particles of dust, air pollution and the components of cigarette smoke - but smoking actually keeps these cells from working. When you stop smoking, they start working again and clear out the junk. This causes cough and mucus. Will get better in time

Nasal saline.: Clear the sinuses with nasal saline daily. This should keep your symptoms at bay. Just don't smoke again.
