Yes and No: Narcotics (opioid pain medications) only relieve pain. Typically when pain is under better relief you may potentially get better sleep. Also when your pain is under better control your mood elevates or improves. However this medication should never be used for sleep or mood/psychiatric disorders only as that would be a dysfunctional use of these medications.
