Possibly meds: Some medications can cause black tongue, such as pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate). However, it could also be a bacteria in your mouth. See an ENT or dentist to have it checked if you are not currently taking medications that could have caused it.

Black teeth/tongue?: Teeth and gums can stain more than normally with poor oral hygiene, certain medications, certain mouth rinses, use of antibiotics, dehydration, etc. See you own dentist for an evaluation and recommendations.
