Fever: A child's appearance is equally as important, if not more, as the number on the thermometer. Fever can always be treated with Acetaminophen or ibuprofin. But an ill-appearing child should be seen by a doctor regardless. For a well-appearing child with no localized complaints, you can consider treating the fever for a day or 2. If the fever persists, however, the child should be seen by a doctor.
