A member asked:

How long does permethrin stay active in your system?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Difficult question: Permethrin is only minimally absorbed into the bloodstream (less than 2%) after topical application, but it is a VERY stable compound with a long half life. The amount absorbed is considered below the toxic level, but it will remain for quite some time (this is based on a study on rats, I could not find human studies). Hope this helps.
