A member asked:

How long does it take your body to rid itself of the anesthesia after wisdom teeth surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What type?: If you are talking about local anesthetic, depending on the kind that was used, it can be anywhere from a few hours with Lidocaine up to 12 hours with marcaine. If you are referring to being put to sleep, the half life can make you groggy into the next day.
