Doubtlul: You seem to be descibing TMJ syndrome. Certainly, the jaws can be involved in diseases such as RA but most likely it is not associated with any internal problems.

Could be : Tmj problems can be dental related or arise from degenerative joint problem. You will needd to start with your dentist to rule out the dental problem first before anything else.

Yes: Yes. Can signify a problem within the joint. sometimes the problem is mostly outside the joint due to clench/grind teeth. See TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
