Alcohol burns any mucosal surface you put it on - if you have ever put rubbing alcohol on a cut and it burns like crazy, that is what ethyl alcohol is also potentially doing to your stomach - causes esophagitis, gastritis and duodenitis and can worsen ulcers as well. It also can inflame the liver and pancreas. STOP DRINKING and see your doctor for eval.
