Red Dye #40: & Pervasive Developmental Disorder ?? Not sure. Red #40 (Allura Red) is the most frequently used dye. There are concerns that it may be linked to hyperactivity, ADHD & autism spectrum disorders. There is also possibility of hypersensitivity Rxn's. This merits further study.
