A member asked:

Will alcohol use before a cortisol test effect results?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, it can not only: Effect the results, the reason they are doing it might be explainable if they knew that you were drinking alcohol, because it can screw up the entire endocrine hormonal axis they are looking at. So, the test might be even more than useless, it might be misleading and they can make a false diagnosis, or miss a real one. Please talk to your doctors about your level of alcohol use-dont drink before.
