Cost: Each crown has its benefit.  A gold crown is still the best dental material.  With that said ziconia crowns are very strong and do look like teeth.  A disadvantage to gold is the color and the cost.  An advantage to gold is less tooth structure needs to be reduced for the most part.  Hope this helps, .

Occlusion: As anOrthodontist I will leave the choice of restoration to my Restorative Dentist colleagues.  As to mandibular advancement appliances for sleep apnea, they can negatively affect your occlusion.  Do your homework before deciding on the practitioner that has the best answers for your problems.

May be a problem: If you broke two PFM bridges, which have a metal structure, you may have some issues with your bite or a bad bruxing problem.  Zirconium is a type of ceramic, although stronger than porcelain.  It would be best to have your dentists thoroughly evaluate things to look for reasons why bridges would keep breaking.  Zirconium is strong but can break.

Dynamic forces: Many factors can lead to this, but most important are the support base and the bite. This is a long span to cover when starting with the canine, but do not expect the zirconium to fx. Likely clenching/grinding without occlusal guard/compliance . See the expert in reconstruction - Prosthodontist. Consider 2 crowns and 2 implants (12,13) with crowns and bite correction (lower arch). good luck.

Very strong: An all zirconium bridge contains no metal and is very strong. Another bridge option is a porcelain over metal bridge, which you may already have that has broken. Other options for replacing missing teeth would be implant(s) to replace the missing teeth or a partial denture. However, we are big proponents for all-zirconium bridges that are more biocompatible with the tissue than metal based bridges

what could cause an alignment problem after crowning?

Crown too high: In most instances the crown is too high thus, causing your tooth alignment to become uncomfortable. This could easily be corrected by seeing your dentist to adjust the occlusal interference and thus, improving your alignment.
