children up to 4 years old we have to give 10 g of vitamin d3 daily, but we still give this to our 5 year old son every day. could this have adverse effects? could we better stop to give it? we also give him vitamin c supplement daily, is this ok?

: Vitamin C &amp; D are often added or already present in food in our regular diet (i.e. cereal, milk, orange juice). The Vitamin D recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for children 4-8 years old is 600 IU/day (15µg). The upper limit is 3000 IU/day. For Vitamin C the RDA is 25 mg/day, the upper limit is 650 mg/day.

Confused question: No toxicity from water soluble vitamins. Toxicity from fat-soluble vitamins. Toxicity from calcium.

NO: B vitamins do not have significant interactions with sunlight.  Vitamin a is a different story, as it can increase sensitivity to sunlight.

Preventative diet.: Evidence for vitamins and minerals reducing diabetes risks evidence is not strong. A  better bet is to adapt a preventative diet to lower risks.

: Levels of 50 nmol/L (20 ng/mL) or above are adequate for bone and overall health. Levels below 30 nmol/L (12 ng/mL) are too low &amp; might weaken your bones &amp; affect your health. Levels above 125 nmol/L (50 ng/mL) are too high and can cause health problems.For you, the 19 is too low and should be increased and initially increasing with 5000 IU per day for about a month, then 1000 IU per day usually.

As far as we know: Oratane (also known as Isotretinoin) is a medication that has known bad interactions with an antibiotic known as Tetracycline. Since it is a derivative of Vitamin A it is also suggested that Vitamin A not be taken along with it. There is no certain data about any interactions between Isotretinoin and Zinc or Vitamin C.

i have taken zinc cold drops recently at the same time i started taking vitamin c 500mg 4 tabs daily 2 days ago. i am now constipated.  please help?

constipation: Increasing dietary fiber (fruits, veggies, or supplements) along with plenty of fluid may help (takes couple days, so hang in there); stool softener also beneficial; try to avoid laxatives or frequent enemas as body can become dependent on them. Walking helps stimulate peristalsis. If no bm in day or 2, of if have abd pain getting worse, see pcp or go to er.

: Black fungus is an opportunistic organism that is usually seen in immune suppressed patients.  This has recently become a problem in India, associated with Covid-19 infections.  There is some early indications that zinc supplements, especially in large doses, can make it easier to get or spread black fungus.  There is no indication that vitamins C and D have anything to do with black fungus.

if i am taking 1000 mg of vitamin c, 5500 of d, and 50 mg zinc , is it ok to start taking 10 mg of lexapro?

: If I were to advise you I'd recommend no more than 30mgs if zinc and 1000 units of Vit D daily. That being said, I see no problems with taking lexapro as well. Your pharmacist can also answer this question.
