i am about 7 months pregnant. my ob put me on protonix for acid but i went back to zantac instead. is it bad to interact them or switch back and forth?

Not harmful: These are preventative medications so people typically choose one and stick with it. If one is working better than the other then you may want to choose that. You could also discuss other options with your doctor

i was prescribed cipro 500 mg for 3 days 2x day for uti. can i still take my ppi protonix in the morning before the cipro and zantac at night?

have superficial gastric ulcers. cant take dexilant (dexlansoprazole) or protonix. prilosec 2x a day is not helping. dont have reflux. got zantac. how should i take it?

Twice a day. : If you are having problems with your medications, you need to speak to your pcp or gastroenterologist. You need to avoid nsaids like aleve,  Motrin , asa . You can try zantac (ranitidine) at a twice a day dose, but still suggest follow up with the doctor.

is gluten/dairy free chocolate okay for gastritis diet? currently taking zantac, protonix, (pantoprazole) and levsin-sl for loss of appetite, nausea, gnawing feeling

Caffeine free?: generally speaking it is not the gluten or the dairy that irritate gastritis unless you have celiac disease and you are lactose intolerance it is the caffeine that increase the a it and irritate the lining of the stomach and make gastritis worst in spite of taking medication so check the caffeine content

Possible: Long term use of PPI(protonix) could cause decreased vitamin B12 absorption. You should be tested.

Heartburn: It's likely heartburn but you should have a stress test to rule out a cardiac cause. GERD can be refractory in some people. Nissen fundoplication is an alternative treatment for refractory cases.

Look for another cau: You need to look for another cause. Acid reflux is an important contributor but sounds like you're on adequate treatment. Allergies is another common one. Talk to your doc about that.
