Infection: Vaginal discharge with odor is almost invariable bacterial infection of the vagina which could potentially slow healing of a birth related laceration. Broad spectrum vaginal antibiotics like Clindamycin cream usually help in this type of situation.

i had a c/s 3 weeks ago, the bleeding has stopped however i have a smelly,yellowish/brownish discharge coming out which makes me very uncomfortable. will it affect my resumption of sexual intercourse? what can i use to make it go away?

If no fever,: likely a bacterial vaginitis, vaginal  metronidazole could help, but you should check with your doctor to be sure.

Not yeast. STD?: You might have yeast (how was it diagnosed?), but probably not the only problem. Vaginal yeast usually causes itching and only a little discharge (or none), usually white. Colored discharge and cramps strongly suggest a different infection, especially (at your age of 18) an STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia, maybe with pelvic inflammatory disease (tube infection). See a doctor ASAP.

Infection. Get tests: From the color description, old blood be present especially if this is near the time you ended your period. However, you may have a sexually transmitted infection. Get tested  for chlamidia, gonorrhea,  syphilis, hiv. Also be checked for bacterial vaginosis. Visual examination to check for vaginal/cervical trauma. See your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

Rectovaginal fistula: This is suspicious for a fistula, i.e. an abnormal connection between the vagina and your rectum or intestine. It could be serious if not promptly diagnosed and perhaps treated. See a doctor ASAP. Good luck.

Possible infection: You should get a gyn exam and also a urine test. A vaginal infection or a urinary tract infection needs to be ruled out. Both can be diagnosed in the doctor's office and usually they can be easily treated. Please see your dr for this.
