Infected lower lip: Bacterial infection of the lip possibly settled on the top of herpes infection of the lip. See your doctor in person . Need culture taken followed by antibiotic treatment.

Dry itchy lips: sounds like they may be superficially infected.    Is the yellow crust coming from somewhere??  - like an open area.    I might suggest  dilute peroxide on a wash cloth and see what happens and to clean it and then a good simple moisturizer  like plain petroleum jelly (less likely to cause a reaction. Healing Stitches: Good day;
The yellow crust around sutures on the outer lip is a normal sign of healing. Usually becoming browner and somewhat crusty; as the wound heals and the sutures are removed, the crust falls off and healing occurs.

Normal: Wash gently with water. Apply vaseline or Aquaphor frequently. Avoid antiseptics such as peroxide or alcohol. Avoid antibiotics such as bacitracin or neosporin. No kissing for a few days.

Possible cold sore: This may be a cold sore which is caused by the herpes virus which you would have gotten from having the chicken pox. Check with your dentist or physician when sore is present for diagnosis. There is no cure, but medications are available to shorten the length of time the lesion is present.

Yes: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. AND the yellow crust is a pretty typical description for a common infection that needs antibiotics.

: sounds like you have angular cheilitis, where you develop tender fissures in the corner of your mouth. See dermatologist to confirm diagnosis and receive treatment.

Possible: You can have coital trauma and cause hematomas and bruising from sex.  The yellow crust is a little less clear.  Yellow crust and labial swelling could be from herpes, so it might be a good idea to see a gynecologist soon and if you're not using a condom, please do.

Dab H2O2 frequently : In spite of the saliva and the tongue touching the pimple most heal quite nicely. Wash with plain water frequently and keep it as clean and dry as possible. Another way is to dab it with undiluted 3% hydrogen peroxide available OTC in any pharmacy, as frequently as possible and it shd heal as well too.

why does my 3 month old baby's head smell bad? there is a slightly yellow crust present

Cradle cap: It sounds like your baby may have cradle cap (seborrheic dermatitis).  Yellow crusting could also be an infection.  You may want your pediatrician to take a look and advise a treatment plan as the two plans would be pretty different.  You could start with some oil and a fine comb to see if the crust comes off easily and the smell disappears. If it does problem solved.
