i have swollen itchy red eyelids (one worse than other and spreading into eyebrows) it's sebhorreic dermititis but now also a yeast infection. ?

Itchy eyes: Try your best not to rub your eyes, this will make it worse. You can use cold compresses and apply a small amount of Nystatin cream over the lid and brow being careful not to get it in your eye

Yeast infection: YEast infection often occurs in warm, moist areas, such as joint folds, under arms and breasts, abdomen.  Unusual to be on eyelids and face.  If none of the treatment effective, I would either question the diagnosis or wonder if you have an underlying condition such as diabetes.  You should consider seeing a Dermatologist.

i'm just wondering, if you have a yeast infection and touch your eye can it infect your eye and how likely?

Not very likely: It's very rare to get a yeast  (fungal) infection of the eye unless you have trauma, a propensity towards ocular infections,  or you  are  immunocompromised. Your tears tends to dilute  and wash away bacteria and fungi that come in contact with your eye.   The layers of your cornea in conjunctiva and your natural immune system keep the normal bacteria and fungi that live on your body in check.

Not without trauma: If you are healthy just getting a yeast infection in the eye is difficult.  Now if you are compromised or have had a recent trauma or eye surgery you definitely cam get fungal infections.  If you fear one, please see your ophthalmologist.

 smear.

Possibly: Yeast or fungus infections of the eyes can occur. It would be unusual but if you develop any signs of eye inflammation, get seen by an ophthalmologist promptly.

Bad luck or hygiene: Most "pink eye" is caused by a viral infection on the inner part of the eyelid and thin moist "skin"covering the eyeball-called the conjunctiva.  Once infected its called "conjunctivitis."  you infect your eye when you touch a surface (or person) with the virus and rub your eye-transfering the virus.  Frequent hand washing helps prevent this.  Sharing towels or pillows can also cause infection.

Not really, and yes: "Not really" to the first question. Have never seen a woman transfer a vaginal yeast infection to her eye. That may be because Candida yeast is already living on every outer part of our bodies (men or women). As long as the eyes have their normal protections such as natural tears, any added yeast should not overgrow. It's not impossible to happen but no worries, it can be treated if it happens.

Yes, : Yes, please be medically evaluated and have your husband get testing for an infection.  Please be sure that your doctor does not think that you have shingles.  It is important to have both you and your husband tested for an infection.
