Opioid regulations: Yes this is correct - firstly you cannot use a short acting medication 4/day along with a benzo 3/day - new regulations
So unless you have major exam restrictions then you will have to be weaned off the percocets and also the benzo. What changed ? Ask the non-medical folks in government and the non-medical regulators.

Lotta meds: That's a lot of medicine. If you're improved, I'd stay close to your physician. If you don't feel that you're getting appropriate treatment, I'd consider a second opinion.

Ok: but since both Xanax (alprazolam) and Zyrtec may have some sedating property, be sure that you are alert enough before you drive. Otherwise I see no problem with the above combination with Nasonex.

Proof is in pudding: Everybody is different and there is no one size fits all. When possible I like to work towards weaning people off the short acting benzodiazepines ( Xanax)

hello im 36 have lot of anxiety taked xanax 1 in the  morning and 1 evening (xanax 1mg.)18 years i taked it the 12 last years with the previous doses.ast) from then are 70 -80.i cant stop it!will my liver damage if i will continue it due to ast?thx

Probably Not: The liver is a large organ and AST small increase over 12 years is not bad.
People have been on meds for years without causing harm .  It is the kidney that is usually the predictor of whether you can remain on the same dose of medication.Not the liver.
See a doctor for a check up , labs and reassurance. That way you can continue treatment and rest assured no problems.

Verapamil Xanax (alprazolam) : There are no drug interactions between verapamil and xanax (alprazolam) so they may be taken at the same time. Iuds do not disperse  hormones. The best way to prevent pregnancy as well as sexually transmitted disease is to use a condom along with your iud. Best wishes.

Advice on what??: Xanax (alprazolam) is not my favorite benzodiazepine because it gets in and out very fast, which is exactly what makes a drug more subject to abuse, and less effective for the treatment of anxiety.  The time-released form does improve this somewhat. Antidepressants are good treatment for anxiety and don't produce abuse/dependency. Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt) doesn't involve drugs and works for anxiety.

Anti anxiety: Alprazolam or xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine medication indicated to treat anxiety. It has a quick onset of action and a moderate half life, thus it has a greater potential to produce dependence than some other benzodiazepines.

i have been on a benzo for about 15 years and my dr. just switched me from 1.5mg 2x day to xanax xr 1mg 2x day and am worried about wd, dosage!  help!

WD??: Are you using "WD" to refer to withdrawal?  Glad to hear that your doctor is tapering you down on your xanax dose. Tapering off of xanax should be done slowly. Give your physician feedback about symptoms that you are experiencing. 15 years is a very long time to be on a benzodiazapine .
