: Plain X-rays of the abdomen and pelvis, usually called KUB (Kidneys, Ureter and Bladder), is no longer used for detecting kidney stone at the ER. If urinary stone is strongly suspected, CT stone protocol (no contrast) is the radiology test of choice initially.

No: X-ray does not show soft tissue well. So, if tumor, ct or MRI would be needed to show it. You mention that you have had a ct for stones. Usually this is abdominal ct and pelvic ct. If so, it would show low back. Your doc can tell you how much showed on ct and can discuss whether there is a reason for you to worry about a tumor.

CT scans are: more accurate than ultrasound for diagnosis of kidney stones and other anatomical abnormalities of kidneys such as tumors.  If you are having painless hematuria, this condition raises suspicion of possible tumor in urinary tract.

Many possibilities : gastritis and ulcers are some of the most common. These won't be seen on the tests you had done. Gallbladder dysfunction is another problem that can take some time to figure out. Sit down with your doctor and methodically rule out the problems that can be fixed.

Not often: Having a ct scan exposes a person to low doses of radiation.  Most people will have at least one ct scan in there lifetime, which is not harmful.  However, people with chronic conditions, like stones, may be exposed to radiation from imaging tests like ct scans multiple times in their life, which can be harmful.  Trying to use alternative methods like ultrasound, if possible, is a good option.

Only when needed: You should only have a ct scan when the benefit to you at that moment is greater than the risk from the radiation.  Hard to measure, but, you should not get one "just to see where the stones are".  You should try to always use techniques to limit radiation dose, dual energy ct can provide insight as to what kind of kidney stones there are to maximize treatment, and consider MRI (no radiation).

It : It depends on the size and characteristics of the adrenal mass and any symptoms you may have from the mass.  Larger adrenal tumors should be evaluated and often removed.  Smaller masses that have characteristics of a benign (non-cancerous) adenoma on ct scan are often observed, but may be removed if they produce abnormal amounts of hormones.  Functional adrenal adenomas can cause high blood pressure, which can be reversible if the adrenal mass is removed.  If you are concerned, you should get a second opinion.
