1. my right scapular bone has a bending from doing pushups. a primary care physician and a physical therapist have observed the bending. however, the mri, x-ray, and cscan do not show the bone bending. please comment?

: I doubt if you truly have a bent scapula. You need to see a rheumatologist or orthopedist for the correct diagnosis and treatment.

is it possible for a right-handed person to learn to become left-handed or ambidextrous (or vice/versa)? if so, how would they go about doing that? work with a physical therapist?

: I think if a person wants to become somewhat ambidextrous, then he/she should try doing things with their “other” hand.  Try easier tasks at first, and see how things go.  Some tasks might be very difficult to accomplish, if at all.  It is not easy being left handed in a right handed world.

HMM: It might be considered a problem in a hospital setting. However, i find that being odd doesn't prevent one from being a really good provider.  Some people elect to remain shoeless for the freedom it provides to the feet and toes. If he is shoeless with foot hygiene issues - that would be troubling.

Depends: Scope of independent  practice varies by state. In colorado they could.

i am chronic pain patient and prescribed oxycodone and hydrocodone. i work as a physical therapist and im wondering if both meds will test as the same?

Yes.: Hydrocodone metabolizes to oxycodone. Both register as opioids.

when my pelvic floor physical therapist does internal work and she has her finger far up in my vagina, it feels numb. why is that? is that bad?

Too much pressure: Your treatment is going to take time, don't be silent if the treatment  is too forceful or uncomfortable.  Additionally, the cervix has less sensitivity than the areas of the vagina affected by your muscle problem.

Varies: There is not a specific reason that you can not work on more than one body part, except that for time constraint reasons it may not be practical.  It also would need to be directly ordered as such by your doctor as well.

Ask around: It's always good to have a referral by someone you know.  You can ask your primary physician.  You can also go to the national register of health service providers - the doctors in that directory have gone through rigorous credentialing.

can a physiatrist be a physical therapist ?

Yes, but...: A person may be both, but that means more years in school. A physiatrist is a medical doctor (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or Physical Medicine), which usually means 4 years in college, 4 more in medical school, and 4 more in physiatry training. A physical therapist is 4-8 years total, depending on the final degree (bachelor's, master's, or doctorate). They can work together as a team.
