: BEST NOT.YOU DON'T WANT ANY THING IN YOUR SYSTEM BEFORE SURGERY TO COMPLICATE THE PROCEDURE. YOU WILL BE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS NOT TO EAT OR DRINK BEFORE SURGERY SO HOLD OFF ON THE WEED UNTIL YOU ARE HEALING WELL.

Not supposed: To happen . Unfortunately there were some reported cases , which never  should happened .  Due to this reason the anesthesiologist when completely paralyzed  twill be very careful , will watch very closely  eye moments , pulse rate  BP  etc , will make sure completely under and not feeling any pain . If you are under going any procedure speak to the doctor , will  alleviate your fear.

when i had pituitary surgery, my head was secured during surgery. woke up with wound in hair. will they secure head like that for septoplasty?

Probably Not: When you had pituitary surgery, they placed your head in a so-called "halo."  This is a device that has small metal bolts that hold the skull in place during surgery to prevent movement and sometimes to help with localization.  This sort of contraption is not necessary for septoplasty, which is considered to be a less dangerous/risky procedure.

why is necessary to have during awake brain surgery head fixed in a frame? when patient woke up, feels pain from this fixation or from opened skull?

Helps guide surgeons: There are some neurosurgical procedures where an awake patient helps surgeons avoid vital structures that could affect speech/language or other functions which otherwise may become impaired if the patient were not awake. I'm sure a neurosurgical colleague or 2 would like to chime in on this interesting question and give more detailed feedback. Pain is hopefully controlled afterward with medication

More Info Needed...: What type of surgery? Surgery in your mouth? Extractions or gum surgery? If other surgery, were you intubated? For how long? Sinus problems? Are the teeth still hurting or getting better? It may be coincidental, or it may be as a result of a dry mouth or the procedure. Consult with your dentist.

2 weeks ago i had surgery onmy hand. i have fallen 2 times. i woke up today i hurt from head to toe. i have fibermyalgia.  what can i do?

No simple answers: I would avoid taking any pain pills,  I would look into low dose naltrexone, I would look into finding ways to improve the health of your brain.   NAC 600mg bid rather cheap and might help.  Clearly a comprehensive plan with a skilled practitioner in order.

Pharyngitis: Pharyngitis is  an infection  of the pharynx or tonsils . The cause is usually infectious, with most cases being of viral origin and most bacterial cases attributable to group A streptococci. It is difficult to distinguish viral and bacterial causes of pharyngitis on the basis of signs and symptoms alone. Doctor does  strep test to diagnose strep throat. Viral pharyngitis does not need antibiotics
