Please have her seen: by her doctor if this continues. If there are no other symptoms, such as fever, and she is drinking well, you can observe her with her upright to see if it goes away. It may be from laying in one position. However, at her age, any abnormality that continues should be checked by a doctor.

Call your obgyn: Please call your obgyn and make an appointment to be seen as there is a chance you have cellulitis which is infection of the skin and require antibiotics to treat.

acyclovir 800mg, took one pill last night and woke w/ swollen face.  taking for shingles, rash is on face as well.  please help me i have no ins..

Allergic reaction: Your swollen face is probably an allergic reaction to acyclovir.  I wouldn't try taking another dose.   However, your only other 2 options are valacyclovir (valtrex) and Famciclovir (famvir), both of which are more costly, and you may be allergic to all of the anti-viral meds of this type.  You might try using a medication discount card but these meds may or may not be discounted.

ALLERGY SINUSITIS: Most likely you have allergy sinusitis , or you could be having a chronic sinusitis
try to take allergy medicine like zyrtec or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night since it could make you drowsy
if persistent you might need to see ENT specialist
some people benefit from saline nasal spray, some suggest local honey from your local farmer market 
you could place some ice on your forehead keep you head up while sleeping.

? Allergic reaction: Your description could be related to an allergic reaction although other issues can cause similar symptoms.  See your regular doctor for further evaluation.

Face swelling: Face swelling can be due to infection as well as a blocked salivary gland duct .  This should be evaluated by your doctor to see if antibiotics are necessary.  In the mean time Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen can reduce pain and discomfort.

Determine the cause: When the cause of the pain is determined, you can have the problem treated and alleviate the symptoms. Facial swelling is usually associated with a dental problem, so you should call a dentist first thing monday morning for an appointment. In the meantime otc pain meds will help. Sounds like you also need an antibiotic.

Likely infection: Not because you were messing with it over night. There are a lot of possibilities.  Most likely it is an iinfection. If it is not getting worse see a dentist tomorrow. If it is getting worse go to the er.
